Ranchi, June 8: Bike-riding criminals surfaced again in the Jharkhand capital. Today they struck employees of Alam Indane Rural Distribution in Pithoria and looted Rs 40,000 from their possession.
There were three criminals. They were on two bikes and equipped with firearms. They took gas agency staff at gunpoint to commit loot.
Yesterday, two bike-borne criminals looted Rs 55,000 from a fish trader and brandished firearms. This incident took place between Dibdih flyover and Satellite Chowk under the Doranda police station area of the Jharkhand capital. On getting information, officials of the Jagarnathpur police station and the Doranda police station reached the spot and started the investigation of the case.
Earlier on June 2, criminals looted Rs 3.50 lakh in broad daylight on the main road of the capital. They were also bike-borne. They targeted Mohammed Mehboob who was going to withdraw money from one bank and deposit it in another bank. The criminals escaped after they robbed the bank customer. While fleeing they crashed but managed to escape leaving their vehicle. One of the criminals fled towards Hindpiri Central Street and the other towards Konka Road. Police so far made no breakthrough in the case.
