Dhanbad, July 26: “Space has its own language. Knowledge of space language can solve most of the real-world problems,” said Australian space experts while addressing BIT Sindri Webinar on Wednesday.

The online webinar was organized jointly by the Training and Placement Cell of BIT Sindri and Deloitte on the topic ‘Tech Talk on Space Technology and Find Your Place in Space’.

Chief speakers of the webinar were Jason Bender, space leader, Deloitte Australia; Alemi Kermani, space systems engineer, Deloitte Australia and Samantha Maxine Santos, Space Data and Technology consultant, Deloitte Australia.

The webinar was open to all and besides students of  BIT Sindri, different faculty members also attended it in large numbers.

Chairman of the Training and Placement Cell of BIT Sindri  Prof  Ghanshyam shed light on the importance of the webinar topic and introduced all three speakers, who are working in the Deloitte space and technology field.

All three Australian experts while addressing the webinar first talked about what the space was perceived to be and what it actually is. They focused on the need to acquire knowledge of a few terms as space has its own language.

“Most of the real-world problems can be solved using space”. They further elaborated that space is more than rockets, it’s an enabler for downstream. “We can even measure half of the essential climate variables only from space,” they said.

The Australian Deloitte space experts also talked about the experts in the domain of Space and Research at Deloitte Space, who are boosting global connectivity and driving cross-border space relationships around the world.

Prof  Ghanshyam, chairman of the Training and Placement Cell of BIT Sindri, said that the webinar was concluded with a ‘Question-Answer’ session which gave the students a chance not only to reiterate the original point but also extend it.
