BIT Sindri’s Shivam Bhagat gets Rs 50 lakh package from DE Shaw

Dhanbad, June 21: Shivam Bhagat, a scholar student of the information technology engineering department, BIT Sindri, has been selected by the D E Shaw organization on a Rs 50 lakh annual package.

DE Shaw is a group of global investment and technology development firm. This is the first time this global organization has picked up a BIT technocrat on such a package.

Giving this information, Prof Ghanshyam, chairman of the Career Development Centre (CDC) of BIT Sindri said that it is one of the major breakthroughs of the institution.  “Shivam’s enthusiasm, perseverance and impressive work ethic have undoubtedly set him apart. I harbour no doubt that Shivam Bhagat is destined for a brilliant future. I wholeheartedly endorse him for future endeavours.” he said.

BIT Sindri director Dr DK Singh while highly appreciating the achievement of Shivam, extended his congratulations to him wishing him boundless success in all his future endeavours. “In the face of adversity, Shivam Bhagat’s indomitable spirit and unwavering enthusiasm have become the catalysts for his triumph”, he said.

Shivam Bhagat gave credit for his achievement to the Career Development Centre at BIT Sindri and his professors. “Their invaluable guidance and unwavering support have been the steadfast pillars upon which my awe-inspiring academic journey was built”, he said.

Shivam wholeheartedly acknowledges the institution’s unwavering dedication to providing immense learning opportunities and invaluable exposure, which have played a pivotal and instrumental role in shaping his remarkable success story.
