Ranchi, Sept.13: Two days after Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon punched a hole in the state-run education system, the State BJP today alleged that the state government is running away from its responsibility.
Oraon had said that the teachers of government schools do not pay attention to education and once he had ensured suspension of a headmaster indulged in Thikedari.
“Bringing improvement in the education system is the responsibility of the state government, it is running away from its responsibility by levelling allegations against teachers instead of accepting its failure. Education is a state subject. It is the responsibility of the state government to fill vacant posts of teachers and provide the necessary infrastructure to schools to ensure quality education after keeping it away from any type of non-academic work. But the government is running away from its responsibility. Promises made by it before the election have been thrown into the dustbin,” BJP state president Deepak Prakash said.
Prakash said that the government wants to send all children to private schools in the same way it sent poor patients to private hospitals during the second wave of the corona pandemic.
Prakash said state minister Oraon on the one hand was adamant to relax rules to release grants for Urdu Schools while on the other hand, he is cursing teachers of the government schools.
“The government is neck-deep in contradictions. The JMM should clear its stand on the statement of the finance minister on government teachers as the education department is run by a JMM minister,” Prakash said.
