Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya, during a press conference on Friday at the party’s camp office, took a jibe at BJP’s Parivartan Yatra in Sahibganj. He claimed that the BJP is a party of infiltrators, with all its former chief ministers spreading “political stench” in the state. Bhattacharya predicted that the people of Jharkhand will wipe out BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.

He labeled the Parivartan Yatra as a “conspiracy march” and questioned its purpose, stating, “Even they don’t know where this yatra is headed. Today, Amit Shah kept saying ‘Hemant Babu, Hemant Babu’ from the stage. What kind of fear is this?”

Responding to Amit Shah’s remark about hanging infiltrators upside down, Bhattacharya retorted, “I want to tell Amit Shah the truth—that the people of Jharkhand will hang your party upside down in the elections and set things straight. The vulture-like gaze your party has on this state will be fixed through surgery.”

Regarding the issue of Bangladeshi infiltration, he questioned, “The Prime Minister had recently visited and said that the High Court has formed a committee. So, tell us, where is the Bangladeshi infiltration happening?”

Addressing the issue of trucks from Jharkhand being stopped at the Bengal border, Bhattacharya remarked, “The mental state of the Bengal government is not stable. The Hemant government will not bow down to anyone. These steps were taken only after talks with Bengal’s ministers. Mamata Didi’s mental state has deteriorated; she should have shown some sensitivity. When water was released, Bengal was flooded—imagine what would have happened if the dam had broken.”
