Patna, Dec 21: Following the ‘abusive’ remark of Jitan Ram Manjhi against Brahmins, BJP leader Gajendra Jha announced a reward of Rs 11 lakh for anyone cutting off the tongue of former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Gajendra Jha, the general secretary of International Hindu Maha Sabha and executive member of Bihar BJP, “Manjhi should convert if he does not believe in Hindu Sanatan Dharma. Whosoever son of the Brahmin would chop off Manjhi’s tongue for making a disparaging remark against the community would be presented with a cash reward of ?11 lakh.”
I would like to make an announcement. If any Brahmin chops off the tongue of Jitan Ram Manjhi and bring it before me, then I will reward him with Rs 11 Lakhs. Jitan Ram Manjhi, however, is not worth even 11 paise: BJP leader Gajendra Jha (20.12.2021) https://t.co/p2ESCJRiu3 pic.twitter.com/7sBI4tZyon

“We initially believed that Jitan Ram Manjhi is a mentally ill person. He has lost his consciousness. But he is repeatedly making derogatory and abusive statements against Brahmins, which cannot be tolerated. He neither has the dignity, nor does he believe in Hinduism. In a bid to save the Hindu religion, I am ready to die,” Jha said.
Meanwhile, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Thakur said that the Bihar government should give Manjhi admission in a short-term course on Indian traditions and Hindu religion.
Reacting on the issue, HAM national spokesperson Danish Rizwan said, “Who has the guts to cut off the tongue of Manjhi Ji? The BJP leadership should take control its leaders or be ready to face the consequences. Manjhi Ji has already apologised for his remark. Why are these leaders creating such a hype over the issue.”
Notably, the founder of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) on Sunday targeted Brahmin community.
