Ranchi, March 9: The BJP legislators today chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Modi-Modi’ in the House as Hazaribagh legislator Manish Jaiswal during the debate on the budget of the drinking water and sanitation department was counting achievements of the BJP government deviating from the main topic of discussion.

The situation came after lunch when debate on the cut motion brought by Sahibganj legislator Anant Ojha started and Jaiswal stood up to speak in favour of the motion after Godda legislator Amit Mandal and JMM legislator Mangal Kalidi completed.

Jaiswal started his speech in the House comparing the achievements of 13 years of the BJP with 60 years of work of Congress party in the country. Though the speaker and ruling party legislators supported by Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto obstructed him asking him not to get deviated from the main topic, Jaiswal did not listen saying earlier ruling party legislators have spoken a lot regarding the BJP rule in the Centre and now he will not stop.

Mahagama legislator Deepika Pandey Singh during the debate quipped that Modi Ji Ko 10 Tarikh Ko Jhola Utha Kar Rawana Karenge.  Reminding the same, Jaiswal said ‘after the declaration of exit poll results, it is being observed that the Congress party has taken their party leaders to resorts. The result suggests that the Congress is getting wiped out. ‘

On which, parliamentary affairs minister Alamgir Alam said the tradition of taking MLAs to a resort was started by the BJP and Bhanu Pratap Shahi, who is associated with the party, knows it well.  But Jaiswal left no stone unturned to attack the Congress in the House pointing out loopholes in the formulation and implementation of the programme by the Congress government and highlighting the achievement of the BJP government.
