Ranchi, Aug 3: Several BJP legislators were seen staging protests outside the house before the beginning of the Jharkhand Assembly’s session on Wednesday for various demands.

AJSU MLA Lambodar Mahto was sitting on a dharna demanding the implementation of local policy on the basis of the Khatian of 1932. Justifying his demand he said that in the last budget session itself, the government had assured that a decision would be taken on the local policy by constituting a three-tier committee, but even after 4 months no initiative has been taken on it. There is a difference between the words and deeds of this government.

Meanwhile, BJP MLAs were noticed sitting on dharna demanding revocation of suspension of the four MLAs. They were heard accusing the state government of ‘Islamising’ education in Jharkhand. The MLAs were also raising slogans like ‘Stop Islamisation in Jharkhand’, and ‘Stop Islamisation of Education’ among others.

MLA Anant Ojha said that ever since this government came to power, Islamisation of the state is going on. He alleged the government of crossing the limit of appeasement for vote bank politics.
