Ranchi, Nov 1: Main opposition party of Jharkhand, BJP, today expressed its concern over the poor health system and law and order in the state.
Loopholes in the health system were pointed out by party spokesperson Pradeep Sinha. He presented examples of Hazaribag Medical College and Hospital, where a baby dies in the womb of mother due to negligence from the part of doctor, and Hospital and SNMMCH, Dhanbad, where accident victim families were given improper treatment.
It is a matter of shame that a doctor admits a pregnant woman and runs away leaving the mother and child to die in Hazaribagh, Sinha said.
Regarding Dhanbad’s medical negligence, Sinha explained the accident and medical treatment after that.
“A family’s car going to Raniganj from Hajipur met with an accident in Govindpur. The pain shared by the victim’s family on social media about the treatment of medical workers during treatment is enough to show the state’s health system in the mirror. The behavior is such that even the executioner becomes shy. Here the stitch was given in the same way a sack is stitched. Apart from this despite leg bone not being broken, raw plaster was made without X-ray. In the emergency, the family kept looking for the doctor but the doctor could not be found,” Sinha said.
Sinha said that the medical system is the same throughout the state and corruption is prevailing everywhere. He said that corruption has been detected in implementation of Ayushmaan Bharat scheme. He said that Jharkhand is a state where the government brings a scheme to distribute the shroud free of cost but for blood, which is provided free of cost across the country is given by taking charge.
Regarding law and order, BJP Mahila Morcha President Arti Kujur issued a statement presenting an example of the mysterious death of a minor girl whose body was found hanging from a tree under Sycho police station area of Khunti district.
Kujur, who probed the matter with a Mahila Morcha team today, said that one Narayan Munda used to come home to the girl’s house and take her with him at arm point against the will of parents. On October 28 he did the same and on October 31, the girl’s body was found hanging from a tree. This reflects the high morale of criminals in the state.
She said that it was a matter of concern that police so far failed to arrest Munda, who is still a threat to the victim’s family.
