Ranchi, Nov. 23: State unit of the BJP will organise a signature campaign at the petrol pumps across the state on November 25 to mount pressure on the state government to reduce VAT levied on petrol and diesel price.
Apart from this, the party will also start an agitation from November 27 to compel the state government to conduct Panchayat election as early as possible.
The decision was taken after a daylong meeting of the BJP state executive committee. The meeting was organised in a semi virtual mode. Rajya Sabha member Sameer Oraon, tribal affairs minister Arjun Munda and former chief minister of Jharkhand and BJP national vice president Raghubar Das along with BJP national secretary Dilip Sakia and other senior members were present during the meeting.
During the meeting the party expressed its concerns over deteriorating law and order, tardy developmental work, organized crime, killing of BJP workers, corruption in JPSC, poor quality of cloths distributed under Sona Sobaran Dhoti Saree scheme besides others.
The state unit hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his step taken for glorification of tribal across the state.
BJP general secretary Balmukund Sahay informed this by organising a press confrence after the meeting.
