Jamshedpur, July 19: The newly appointed General Manager of South Eastern Railway (SER) Anil Kumar Mishra felicitated Subhas Kumar, head constable, Railway Protection Force ( RPF ), Bokaro at Kolkata- based Garden Reach, the SER headquarters last evening for saving the life of a passenger.
On July 12 Subhas Kumar while performing his duty at Bokaro Steel City railway station saved the precious life of a woman passenger, who was about to fall in the gap between the train and the platform while trying to board 12366 Ranchi-Patna Jan Shatabdi Express.
Subhas Kumar’s alertness and dedication towards duty were appreciated by all. He has been felicitated with a cash award and commendation certificate by the newly appointed general manager.
Sanjay Kumar Mishra, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, South Eastern Railway was also present at the felicitation function along with other officials.
The woman passenger was all praise for Subhas Kumar’s daring act. She thanked the RPF personnel for saving her from the clutches of death.
