The CBI has arrested a doctor and a Physics teacher in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. With these arrests, the total number of accused held in the case has reached 13. All the accused were arrested from different parts of Maharashtra.
Doctor and Coaching Teacher Held in Investigation
The CBI arrested Dr. Manoj Sirure from Latur along with Tejas Harshad Kumar, a Physics teacher associated with Abhang Prabhu Medical Academy. During the investigation, Dr. Manoj’s key role in leaking the Chemistry paper was revealed. He allegedly received the Chemistry paper from PV Kulkarni, who had been appointed by the NTA to finalize the Chemistry question paper.
Students and Coaching Links Under Scanner
According to investigators, Dr. Manoj played a major role in providing the leaked Chemistry paper to three students and the son of a coaching institute operator. Meanwhile, Tejas Harshad Kumar allegedly obtained the Physics paper from Manisha Havildar and helped circulate it. Manisha Havildar had already been arrested earlier and was also appointed as an expert by the NTA.
CBI Conducts Raids Across Multiple Locations
After registering the FIR in the NEET-UG paper leak case, the CBI has so far conducted raids at 49 locations across the country. During the searches, officials seized mobile phones, laptops, and several digital devices. Along with experts appointed by the NTA, coaching operators and other individuals linked to the paper leak racket have also been arrested.
