Ranchi, Aug.4: The CBI has taken over Dhanbad judge Uttam Anand’s death case for investigation.
A 20-member CBI sleuth from Delhi will probe the matter and the case was registered there.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren had recommended the CBI probe on July 30. Assistant solicitor general of India Rajeev Sinha had informed the Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday that the case would be registered by today.
The situation came after judge Uttam Anand died on July 28 after an auto-rickshaw hit him coming from the backside when he was on a morning walk outside Magistrate Colony near Randhir Verma Chowk.
