CCL Marathon: Jamshedpur’s Arjun wins in men’s category, Sonika of Haryana lifts women’s title

Ranchi, March 26: Coal India Marathon was organized in Ranchi on Sunday. Arjun Tudu of Jamshedpur won the full marathon of 42.195 km in the men’s category. He was given Rs 3 lakh prize money. In the women’s category, Sonika of Haryana won the first position and won Rs 3 lakh cash money.

In the male category, Anil Kumar Singh got second, Kuldeep Singh third, Arjun Pradhan fourth, Vijay fifth, Vinoth Kumar sixth and Rakesh Rajput got seventh. In the female category, Tamsi Singh got second, Nirmaben third, Renu fourth, Jyoti fifth, Ashwini sixth and Shyamali seventh.

Notably, the full marathon race started from Birsa Munda Football Stadium located in Morabadi and came back from Pithoria to Birsa Munda Stadium. A total of four categories of race competition were fixed in Coal India Marathon. A total of 5714 people had registered for the CCL Marathon.

This includes 1035 females and 4679 males. 403 men and 53 women participated in the full marathon. 492 men and 72 women were registered in the half marathon, 1698 men and 307 women in the 10-kilometer race and 2086 men and 603 women in the 5-kilometer race. The full marathon was 42.195 km and the half marathon was 21.098 km.

 

Prize money for full marathon:

1st place – 3 lakhs

2nd place – 2 lakh

3rd place – 1 lakh

Fourth place – 60 thousand

Fifth place – 40 thousand

Sixth place – 30 thousand

Seventh place – 20 thousand

 

Prize money for half marathon:

 

1st – 2 lakhs

Second – 1 lakh

Third – 50 thousand

Fourth – 40 thousand

Fifth – 30 thousand

Sixth – 20 thousand

Seventh – 10 thousand

 

prize money for 10 km race:

 

1st – 1 lakh

Second – 70 thousand

Third – 50 thousand

Fourth – 25 thousand

Fifth – 20 thousand

Sixth – 10 thousand

Seventh – 10 thousand
