Daltonganj, June 14: Commotion prevailed last night in the emergency ward number 3 of the Medinirai Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in Daltonganj when a ceiling fan of the ward got loosened and came sliding down but thankfully it kept stable mid-air and did not fall down.
There was no damage to either property or to the patients or to their attendants.
Palamu Civil Surgeon Dr Ashok Kumar said instructions have been given to the hospital manager Sunit Srivastav to find an electrician immediately and get the hanging ceiling fan mid-air fixed at its right place.
He further said the hospital manager has been asked to ensure the safety of other ceiling fans too in different wards of the hospital.
