Jamshedpur, April 13: The maximum temperature has touched several places across Jharkhand during the past 24-hours. Met statistics suggested that Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district topped the state with 40.4°C. This was followed by Daltonganj, the Palamau headquarters which notched 40.2°C.
Jamshedpur too recorded close to 40 degrees. The local IMD observatory recorded 39.7°C while Garhwa and Deoghar recorded 39°C. Most of the other places showed a rising trend in day’s temperature.
Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition was prevailing over Jharkhand today and that weather would be mainly clear and dry.
Met officials ruled out any Norwester or thunderstorm activity during the next 48 hours.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the last 24- hours. The highest maximum temperature of 40.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 17.0°C was recorded at Simdega.
None of the Met observatories across the state recorded rain during the past 24-hours.
