New Delhi, Dec 4: The Center will call an all-party meeting on Monday to discuss and finalise the strategies for the G-20 summit that India will host in September of next year.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi has invited the leaders of close to 40 parties to the meeting, which will also feature Prime Minister Narendra Modi. S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, is also anticipated to attend the meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Notably on December 1, India formally took over the G20 Presidency. Beginning in December of this year, New Delhi is anticipated to host over 200 meetings across the nation, including Hyderabad.
On September 9 and 10, next year, New Delhi will play host to the next G20 Leaders’ Summit at the level of heads of state or government. There will be several G20 gatherings across the nation.
Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal and head of the Trinamool Congress, will attend the all-party meeting and will go to Delhi later on Sunday.

Banerjee, however, emphasised that she would not be attending the meeting in her official capacity as chief minister of West Bengal, but rather as chairperson of the Trinamool Congress.
At the Bali summit earlier this month, Indonesia had handed India the G20 presidency for the upcoming year, with Prime Minister Modi describing it as a source of pride for all Indian citizens.
