Ranchi, Aug 2: The Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) organised a monthly review meeting of World Health Partners (WHP) which marked the presence of all members of WHP.

The meeting was initiated by Pawan Kumar, Team Lead, WHP. Soon, the Regional Coordinator of Ranchi team Satendra Singh and Regional Coordinator of Kolhan Mohammad Firoz reviewed the work done by their respective teams in July and the achievements of WHP in the month were discussed.

A detailed lecture by Dr Surjit Prasad, Associate Professor of CIP and Dr Jaini Ahmed, Senior resident of CIP, on the issue titled ‘Depression and its impact on our lives’ was the main attraction of the meet. The purpose of this lecture was to provide WHP’s care coordinators with a more in-depth understanding of mental health so that they can better help the community on the field.

The lecture was followed by CINIs representative, Sulagna Dutta, who shared data on the work done by CINI in July and gave information about their future goals.

In the end, WHP Team Lead Pawan Kumar concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks and assured that it would be the endeavour of the CIP and World Health Partners team to organise such meetings in the times to come.

“So that we can make the society aware of mental health in a better way and we can provide necessary facilities to the people suffering from it. This is to bring a positive change in society,” he added.
