Ramgarh, Mar 25: A delegation of Sri Sri Chaitra Ram Navami Mahasamiti Hazaribagh met Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with Congress Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad regarding permission for Ram Navami procession in Hazaribagh.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that he himself is in favour of celebrating the Ram Navami festival with pomp throughout the state including Hazaribagh. The state government is aware of religious sentiments and after assessing the situation, it will take a decision and will be made public within a day or two.
Earlier in a meeting on March 15, MLA Amba Prasad had already drawn the attention of the House on the international fame and glorious history of Hazaribagh Ram Navami in the Assembly. She has urged him for removing the ban on the procession and demanded permission to take out Ram Navami and Sarhul processions across the state including Hazaribagh.
After meeting the CM, a memorandum was also submitted regarding the permission for the procession.
Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi, Hazaribagh Ram Navami Mahasamiti President Pawan Gupta, Working President Manish Kumar, Shashi Bhushan Kesari, Kush Sinha, Alok Kumar, Vishal Balmiki, Vikas Kumar, Sunil Chandravanshi, Amar Kumar were also present on the occasion.
