Ranchi: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee has taken a dig at the BJP’s recent protest, accusing the party of protecting the very corrupt individuals it now claims to oppose. Rakesh Sinha, General Secretary and Media In-charge of the state Congress, said the BJP is making hollow allegations about corruption while its own record shows that it elevated tainted individuals to powerful positions such as Chief Minister, Union Minister, and Deputy Chief Minister.
Law and order deteriorated under BJP rule
Sinha asserted that law and order in Jharkhand had significantly declined during BJP’s tenure. According to him, the state witnessed a surge in urban crime and rural insurgency, all under the patronage of the previous BJP government.
Grand Alliance has curbed crime and extremism
He claimed that the current Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) government has successfully brought crime and extremism under control. “Even if crimes occur, law enforcement is reaching the roots and taking action,” he added.
BJP’s organisational structure is collapsing
Sinha also said the BJP’s organisational framework is falling apart. “Now they are conducting events merely to salvage their lost image. The party is visibly restless after being rejected by the people,” he said.
