Ranchi, July 20: Congressmen in Jharkhand capital planned to take out a protest March from old assembly ground to ED office to protest against ED questioning Sonia Gandhi tomorrow but district administration has yet to get official information in this regard.
Though spokesperson of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee Rajeev Ranjan said information was sent, SDO of Ranchi Sadar area Deepak Kumar Dubey did not support the same.
“Abhi tak karyakrama ki koi suchna nahi mili hai. Milegi to niyamanusar nirnay liya jayega,” said when Dubey was contacted to know whether the district administration has allowed the party to take out March against ED questioning.
According to the plan , around 1,000 congress party workers will assemble at the said ground at 10 am and start marching at 11 am with banners and posters in their hands. Motive behind the march is to register a protest against ED questioning Sonia Gandhi. The protest will be peaceful, said congress president Rajesh Kumar Thakur.
A police official expressed his concern over the protest march without prior permission. “Such programme from an allied partner of the government put police in a catch-22 situation as it can neither stop it nor allow it. Senior officers should intervene in it,” the police official said.
