Ranchi, Nov 5: A five-day workshop to brainstorm on the role of educational institutions and information technology in increasing the digital workforce in this digital age began on Monday at the Central University of Jharkhand. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jharkhand Professor K B Das.
Chief expert on the occasion was Professor A K Nayak, Former President of Computer Society of India and eminent scientist. Professor Nayak said that the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ will come true with this e-revolution. “The country is moving towards becoming a prosperous digital world. Vision, Make in India, Startup India, Digital Empowered Society have worked to change the picture of India and provide employment opportunities to the youth,” he added.
International expert Gautam Hazari, Chief Training Officer, Secura Mobile Intelligence, London discussed in detail the digital transformation and growing need of digital workforce and highlighted the impact of digital currency CBDC in Indian scenario.
Over 300 people from India and abroad participated in this five-day workshop. Other key experts during the workshop included P K Rathi, Mentor & Founder 3i Zone Mumbai; Dr Malai Nayak, Executive Director IT Buzz Ltd. London; and Amulya Shah, Chief Human Resource Officer, Team Computer Pvt. Ltd.
Professor Subhash Chandra Yadav, HoD, Computer Science and Engineering, welcomed the guests and said that in view of the increasing importance of digitalization and to meet the challenges arising out of it, the country will need a highly digital workforce.
He added, “The Digital India programme of the country will be successful only when we will be able to make the youth digitally literate. Educational institutions and the IT industry will have to work with mutual cooperation to create an employment layer for the youth and to meet the needs arising out of digital transformation, only then we will be able to give a basic shape to the National Education Policy 2020.”
