Two Accused in 2024 Firing on Ranchi High Court Advocate Arrested

Ranchi: Ranchi Police have arrested two accused involved in the 2024 firing incident targeting High Court advocate Babban Prasad, identified as Anuj Kumar Mahto and Gulshan Kumar, both residents of Palamu district.

Accused Hail From Palamu

According to police, Anuj Mahto is from Sudna village under Sahar police station area in Palamu, while Gulshan Kumar, also known as Gulshan Kumar Vishwakarma, hails from Panchi village under Satbarwa police station. Gulshan Kumar has a prior criminal record, with FIRs registered against him at Chainpur and Panki police stations in Palamu as well.

Police Were Searching for Two Years

The firing on advocate Babban Prasad took place in 2024 within the jurisdiction of Ratu police station. Police had been searching for the two accused for nearly two years before finally apprehending them.
