Daltonganj, Jan1: As per the directives by DDC Palamu cum district nodal officer for health services Ravi Anand, thermal screening and swab collection began on Sunday at the Daltonganj railway station.

DDC Anand had on Saturday directed the district programme manager Deepak Kumar Gupta to start the health measures at the Daltonganj railway station.

Lab technician Haider Ali conducted the thermal screening and swab collection of over 15 passengers and other personnel of the Daltonganj railway station.

Ali said that passengers are most reluctant to thermal screening and providing swabs and have hundreds of pretexts for not doing so. Their usual reply is that they are fit which is why they do not need swab collection.

Ali said that he urged a passenger to give his swab and the passenger left the railway platform or might have stood behind some pillars of the platform to avoid testing.
