Deoghar, Mar 28: CCTV cameras will now keep a watch on the devotees arriving at Baba Baidyanath Temple. Around 80 cameras have been installed at various strategic locations throughout the temple grounds, from which all temple-going worshippers will be observed.
Not only this, but the temple has implemented a head counting system for the first time. The purpose of installing a head counting machine is to determine the exact number of devotees who enter the ‘garbhagrih.’ It will also allow the administration to know how many shrigh darshanam coupons are used by devotees.
Using the shirgh darshanam coupon, a devotee can gain access to the garbhagriha by a short route. For a shrigh darshanam coupon, one must pay a fee based on the occasion. It costs between Rs.250 and Rs.500 for each person. Minors, on the other hand, are exempt from paying.
The need for a head counting machine has long been recognised here to determine the exact number of devotees who have worshipped in the garbhagriha.
This head counting system will keep track of how many shirgh darshanam coupons are issued and redeemed by devotees. The topic of fraudulent coupons has come up on numerous occasions. However, the local district administrator has been unable to investigate the allegation until lately.
As a result, the head counting machine will assist the local authority in determining the precise number of devotees who take advantage of the shirgh darshanam coupons.
Aside from CCTV and a head counting system, walkie talkies have been purchased to improve employee communication.
Employees that are equipped with walkie-talkies will be able to communicate more quickly and effectively, allowing them to handle and calm down any ruckus that may arise.
In terms of coverage, the recently purchased walkie talkie has a longer range. All of these measurements are part of the Shravani Mela preparation.
