Deoghar, Aug 12: The ‘Bahya Arghya’, the external pot at the gate of Garbha Griha (sanctum sanctorum) for the Kanwariyas to offer Jalarpan in Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple was removed on Friday. After this, the Kanwariyas are now allowed to enter the Garbha Griha for Sparsh Puja.

During the Shrawani Mela, general pilgrims were not allowed to enter in the Garbha Griha to offer gangajal directly on the Shivlinga. They had to pour the water from outside using the external pot.

After the removal of the external pot, Sardar Panda, the chief priest of the temple and Gulab Nand Ojha offered the traditional puja.

The officers of district administration were also present in the temple. They entered the Garbha Griha after the completion of the prayer offered by Sardar Panda.

The district administration also offered thanks to Lord Shiva for the peaceful completion of the Shrawani Mela for a long time.

Special Puja was offered by Deoghar DC Manjunath, SP Subhash Chandra Jatt, SDM Abhijit Sinha and other officers.
