Deoghar police arrest six cybercriminals for duping commoners

Deoghar, Sept 27: The district police on Tuesday arrested six cybercriminals from different locations across Deoghar, as informed by Cyber DSP Sumeet Prasad during a press brief.

He told the media that all accused were involved in duping the common man. The criminals used different ways of duping from calling customer care, using Uphar Yojna app launched by companies in the festive season to lure their customers, calling farmers registered for PM Kisan Samman to get awarded them the amount, for completing KYC of bank account and many more.

 

 

They have been identified as Irfan Ansari, Mushraff Warsi, Dinesh Kumar Mandal, Ranjan kumar Mahtha, Ankit kumar Mandal and Umesh kumar Yadav. 

 

 

A total of 14 mobile handsets, 27 sims, 13 ATMs, 2 passbooks 2 Cheque books and Rs 8,000 cash were recovered from them.
