Deoghar, Aug 31: The mystery of Vishnu Mirdha’s death has been cracked by the Deoghar police whose dead body was recovered near a water stream in Kothiya village under Jasidih PS  buried under the ground.

Three accused have been arrested so far including Ajay Kumar Barnwal, Nitesh and Mohan Mirdha. According to police, at least nine persons were involved in the case.

Deoghar SDPO Pawan Kumar addressing the media today reeled off the story. He said that the deceased, Vishnu Mirdha, had a criminal background. He along with his associates Sunil Mishra and Ajay Barnwal went to Mohbadiya under Chakai police station in Bihar to commit a crime on the 19th of August. They were carrying weapons and bombs with them.

However, on their way, a bomb exploded due to which Vishnu Mirdha sustained major injuries. He was brought to another associate Mohan by Sunil Mishra and Ajay Barnwal and they didn’t bother to take him to the hospital. Later, Vishnu died of a lack of treatment.

After his death, they buried Vishnu in Kothiya under the Jasidih police station.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased lodged a complaint about Visnu being missing at Devipur police station on Aug 27.

According to the complaint, Vishnu had gone with his friends on August 18 but didn’t return. They also shared the names of Vishnu’s close friends with the police. On interrogating them, the police found a lead.

According to the Deoghar SDPO, the police also got information about a weird smell coming from a place in Kothiya under the Jasidih police station. When the police exhumed the dead body it was identified as Vishnu Mirdha.

Although the Deoghar police claimed the credit for cracking the mystery but Vishnu’s family alleged that their complaint was not given proper attention by the police and that they were pushed from pillar to post.
