Deoghar, Aug 24: Two persons have been arrested for stealing petroleum products from a loaded tanker near the Indian Oil depot in Badladih village under the Jasidih police station area.
The accused have been identified as the driver and conductor of the tanker. On receiving the information, the local police raided the spot and arrested both red-handed.
During interrogation, they revealed their hideout where they used to store the stolen petroleum product. The police recovered two plastic drums full of diesel kept underground from their hideout.
Interrogation is being carried out to find if other people are involved in sale of the stolen petroleum products
Notably, huge amount of petroleum products were recovered from the same location, which is just out of the IOC terminal, two years ago.
