Deoghar, Aug 29: 62 software technology parks have been developed by the Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology of the government of India as an autonomous body to provide a single window system to entrepreneurs. Software Technology Park Deoghar is one of them. These STPIs (Software Technology Parks of India) are spread across the country.

Talking to Lagatar24.com, Deoghar STPI head Sidharta Ray who has been deputed here for a special task, elaborating on the purpose and features of the park said it is an autonomous body that provides a single window system for software as well as hardware companies. “Single Window system means that we provide sttp and http registration for their export and import to a certain extent,” he said. Apart from this, they are providing different services, support services to make them comfortable so as to start their unit in a new place.

According to him, although Deoghar has not been categorised as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 city like others but it is now a growing city. Deoghar has been connected to the air route as the air services are already functioning. The city is well connected to railway services and many educational institutions have already been functioning and as a result, human capital is available at a lower cost. There are many small technical institutions that are providing many short courses. Students of these institutions are here to improve themselves.

He pointed out that STPI Deoghar is providing a half furnished office with an uninterrupted band with electricity and other facilities to start a new unit at a highly lower cost in comparison to other cities like Pune and Bengaluru. He claims that all these factors make Deogahr STPI very conducive to setting up a unit here.

There are two companies that are operating from STPI Deoghar and there are many that are in the line.

STPI Deoghar has 2500 sq feet of semi-furnished areas.

Notably, the charge for booking a chair is only 3000 rupees per sheet including air conditioned, high-speed internet connection and electricity round the clock.
