Ranchi: The Director General of Police (DGP) will convene an important meeting on February 28 at the Jharkhand Police Headquarters, with Superintendents of Police (SPs) from five districts—Chatra, Latehar, Hazaribagh, Palamu, and Lohardaga—set to attend.
Focus on Law and Order and Crime Control
The meeting will review the current law and order situation in the state, with special emphasis on crime control measures. Discussions are expected to cover issues such as Left-wing extremism, illegal mining activities, and narcotics trafficking. Officials are also likely to receive directions regarding the speedy disposal of pending cases and the arrest of absconders and warrant-holders.
Strengthening Security and Coordination
According to sources, the DGP will stress the need to strengthen security arrangements in sensitive areas and enhance coordination among districts. The meeting is being viewed as strategically significant in shaping the state’s broader security framework and ensuring a more coordinated response to emerging challenges.
