Dhanbad, April 22: The district education department in an unprecedented move today announced to hold special counselling for teachers on Sunday (April 23) who missed it due to different reasons on Friday.
For the promotion of teachers in science, arts and language subjects, the district education department had called counselling of 421 teachers at BSS Balbadi Middle School, Dhanbad on Friday but only 297 teachers turned up the same. 124 of them (male and female) did not appear.
Thereafter, District Education Officer (DEO) Bhutnath Rajwar issued a notification directing the teachers to appear in the counselling tomorrow (Sunday) at BSS Balbadi Middle School, Dhanbad who missed it on April 21.
“In the counselling on April 21 total 95 teachers of arts subjects and 29 of science subjects were absent. So, they have been given 2nd life line for promotion to appear in the counselling tomorrow,” he said. The DEO further added that those who miss the counselling on Sunday would not be given another opportunity to claim for promotion.
As per the education department notification, teachers would have to appear at 11 am tomorrow at the DEO office to ensure their participation in counselling.
