Dhanbad, Aug 14: Dhanbad Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team today arrested a Sub Inspector identified as Shivnarayan Ram Muchi posted at Tundi police station around 30 km away from district headquarters while taking a bribe of Rs 5000 for managing a case diary.
An accused in a case Saddam Ansari lodged a complaint to Dhanbad ACB that SI Shivnarayan Ram Muchi posted at Tundi police station was demanding Rs 5000 for sending the case diary report.
After getting confirmation of allegation the ACB Dhanbad team today sent the complainant with cash at the residence of SI Shivnarayan Ram Muchi in the morning. As he received money from the complainant, the ACB squad arrested him on the spot red-handed.
ACB team brought him to the Tundi police station. After preliminary interrogation, the ACB team brought him to the Dhanbad office for further investigation.
The ACB official told media persons that an FIR under Section 7 PC (Prevention of Corruption) Act has been lodged against him.
