Dhanbad, Aug 16: The Dhanbad district administration felicitated four senior doctors of the medical college and district health department on Independence Day function for their outstanding medical services.
Deputy commissioner (DC) Sandip Singh, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Shashi Prakash Singh and Superintendent of Police (rural) Reshma Rameshan jointly presented the mementoes and certificates to all four senior doctors Dr Dinesh Kumar Gindoriya, Dr Amrendra Kumar Singh, Dr Suresh Prasad and Dr Mihir Kumar.
Dr Dinesh Kumar Gindoriya is the associate professor, department of casualty, Dr Amrendra Kumar Singh is the blood bank in charge and Dr Suresh Prasad is the medical officer of the medicine department at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH). Dr Mihir Kumar is the medical officer in charge of the Jharia community health centre (CHC).
Besides doctors, the district administration also felicitated the nursing staff of different CHCs of the district at the function.
Dhanbad Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr Alok Vishwakarma unfurled the national flag at the civil surgeon’s office while SNMMCH Principal Dr Jyotiranjan Prasad and Superintendent Dr Arun Kumar Barnbal hoisted the national flag at college and hospital premises respectively. On the occasion, senior teachers, doctors, the nursing staff of the medical college and the health department were present.
For the first time, the medical college superintendent and senior faculty members joined the flag hoisting ceremony of the district health department at the civil surgeon’s office in the city, while CS Dr Alok Vishwakarma and other medical officers also attended the function at the 6-km-away medical college and hospital where principal Dr Jyotiranjan Prasad and superintendent Dr Arun Kumar Barnwal hoisted the flag separately.
