Dhanbad, Nov 25: Hackathon and Coding club of BIT Sindri organised an introductory orientation programme for the freshers’ students of 2022-2026 academic sessions on Friday.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of BIT director DK Singh and senior faculty member Prof Dinesh Prabhakar in which over 250 students participated and learnt about the activities of the Hackathon and Coding Club of the institution.
The organisers said that the day-long programme was clubbed into two sessions. The first session was conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second session was held from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Anchors of the orientation session were Tanweer, Aniket and Anjali. In the second session of design, anchoring was done by Ritesh and in the ML session, Kunal was the anchor. During the sessions, freshers were asked different questions and interacted.
“The orientation programme enlightened the new batch of students and they were informed about Hackathon and Coding club activities and club procedures. They actively participated in the programme in both the sessions and the interactive. Director DK Singh and Club’s professor in-charge Dinesh Prabhakar, who guided the programme, highly appreciated it and expressed satisfaction over interaction activities,” said one of the members of Hackathon and Coding Club.
Earlier on Thursday, the Painting Wing of BIT organised an orientation programme for fresher in the Deshpandey Auditorium of the institution. During the programme, new batch students were given information regarding the Painting Club and its various online and offline events organised by it.
The organisers said a brief description of all online famous events like Creations, Samaran and Shades and offline events like Face-Off, and Insignia were given.
