Dhanbad, July 24: A teacher of a private coaching institute identified as Shahrukh Ali (28) was arrested and sent to jail for making and sending obscene videos of a girl student on social media.
Tension prevailed in the area as the video became viral. But due to the timely action of the police, an untoward incident was averted.
As per the FIR lodged in Dhansar police station of the district, the accused runs a private coaching centre near Purana Station (old station area) where he made an obscene video of a class IX student of another community. When the girl’s father protested he made the video viral.
“On the complaint of the girl’s father, the coaching centre teacher was arrested under POCSO Act and sent into judicial custody duly. Investigation of allegation is being done,” said Rajdev Singh, the officer in charge of Dhansar police station.
The girl, a student of a premier girl school, who lives in a colony of Dhansar, had been taking coaching at the coaching centre of Shahrukh Ali for the last one and half years. As per the charges, Shahrukh used to detain her even after the scheduled time in the name of providing extra classes and did objectional activities with her. He also made video of his wrong activities and began blackmailing.
When the student protested his activities on Sunday he made the video viral on social media.
When people saw the video clippings of Shahrukh on Sunday, they informed the father of the girl.
