Dhanbad, Dec 23: The newly elected Dhanbad Cong Committee president Santosh Singh has set up a committee to probe charges on Jharia Town president Ratnesh Kumar Yadav for his involvement in PDS rice smuggling.
Santosh Singh today announced a three–member committee of senior leaders comprising Laxman Tiwary, Yogendra Singh Yogi and Navnit Niraj to probe the allegation and submit the report to the district committee in 15 days about the FIR lodged against Ratnesh Kumar Yadav.
“I have come to know from newspapers that police have lodged an FIR against Ratnesh Yadav, president of Jharia Town committee of the party in Dhanudih police station in connection with PDS rice smuggling. So, a committee has been set up to probe. On basis of the report, the party would initiate action against him
Dhanudih police station officer-in-charge Chandrashekhar Singh had on Wednesday night seized around 3 quintals of PDS rice loaded in an auto. On the basis of the inquiry, police filed FIR against Cong Jharia Town president Ratnesh Tiwary and five other persons. Two auto drivers, Mohan Kumar and Lalan Kumar were arrested on the spot.
