Ranchi, Oct21: The Jharkhand High Court while hearing Dhanbad judge Uttam Anand’s death case directed the CBI director to appear during the next hearing through the virtual medium.

Expressing displeasure over the charge sheet filed by the CBI, the division bench of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad reprimanded the central agency. The High Court said that the stereotype charge sheet has been filed keeping the court in the dark. There is no evidence of section 302 of murder mentioned in the charge sheet. The motive of filing the charge sheet was termed wrong by the court.

During the last hearing, the CBI had presented the investigation report regarding which the High Court had said that nothing is being clarified in this report. At the same time, the High Court had directed the CBI and the SIT to present a specific report.

In the last hearing, CBI’s advocate said that in the interrogation, the relationship of many related people is being known, but it is too early to say anything about this.

The state government had filed a counter-affidavit talking about upgrading the FSL completely in the next 6 months. It was said that the fund will be released in 6 months. In this also the court had expressed displeasure. Expressing displeasure over JPSC and JSSC also, the High Court directed them to fill the entire vacant post in 3 months.
