Dhanbad, Oct 19: Police solved Wasseypur double murder case in three days by arresting four persons including the kingpin. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sanjiv Kumar on Wednesday late afternoon told media persons that the murder of both the youth was done with regard to a matter of a love affair.
All four accused including the kingpin Saddam, have been arrested with sharp weapons used in the crime.
On October 16 evening at around 8 pm, Sohail and his friend Sahil were found murdered by a sharp weapon in a narrow lane of Wasseypur.
Notably, The SSP said that the main accused Saddam (also a resident of Wasseypur) had a love affair with a girl. One month ago, Sohail informed the brother of the girl who publicly beat up Saddam.
Infuriated Saddam along with his three brothers murdered Sohail and Sahil on Sunday evening finding them alone in a narrow dark lane in the Karim ganj area.
“Saddam killed Sahil just to wipe out the witness of the crime,” said SSP Sanjiv Kumar.
He added that police had arrested Gulam Mustafa alias Mister, Sakib Ansari, and Sakil Ansari (all brothers of Saddam) and seized the sharp knife used in the murder. Sakil’s finger was also cut in the crime. The blood spot on Sakil also matched the blood sample of Sohail.
The police investigation said Sohail had been hiding in his house after Saddam was beaten up by the brother of his girlfriend. On Sunday evening, he along with his friend Sahil came out to market. Saddam, who had been keeping a close eye on his movement for the last one month, found him going and along with three brothers stabbed to death.
