Dhanbad, Nov 30: Private nursing homes of Dhanbad will adopt at least one panchayat for providing them the benefits of Ayushman Bharat card and treatment under this health scheme.
Civil surgeon (CS) Dr Shyam Kishore while holding a meeting with private nursing home operators and doctors of private clinics said that there is a need of covering 100% of beneficiaries under this ambitious health scheme which is possible only with active participation of the affiliated hospitals.
Currently, 40 private nursing homes, 10 health department hospitals (community health centre) and Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) are affiliated for the treatment of patients under the Ayushman Bharat health scheme in Dhanbad.
“In lack of information in rural pockets, beneficiaries are not getting the proper benefit of the scheme. Affiliated private hospitals should intensify the information campaign among villagers about this health scheme and provide the patient quality treatment facilities so that they get attracted to it,” said the CS.
He also directed the private hospitals to put up banners and hoardings so that patients know that treatment is done under Ayushman Bharat there.
During the meeting, operators of some affiliated nursing homes pointed out that due to errors in names on BPL cards, problems often arise during the generation of Ayushman Golden Cards for the beneficiary in villages.
District coordinator of the programme, Sanjut Sahay, said that nursing homes will help villagers of the adopted panchayat to get the ‘Golden Card’ of Ayushman Bharat scheme and ensure their proper treatment.
“Health department will monitor the programme execution of private nursing homes in covering 100% beneficiaries,” said coordinator Sahay.
