Washington DC: In a highly anticipated interview with Elon Musk on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), former US President Donald Trump delivered a stark warning about the potential consequences of Kamala Harris winning the 2024 presidential election. The interview, which was delayed by over 40 minutes due to a DDOS attack, eventually drew in more than 1.3 million live listeners.
During the two-hour conversation, Trump did not hold back in criticizing his political rivals, particularly Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee who has recently surged in the polls. Trump claimed that if Harris were to win, “the US will go out of business,” accusing her of policies that he believes would devastate the country’s economy.
The former president also reflected on an assassination attempt he survived last month during an election rally. Recalling the incident, Trump told Musk, “I knew immediately that it was a bullet… For those who don’t believe in God, I think we all have to start thinking about that.”
The discussion also covered a wide range of topics, including immigration, with Trump lambasting the current administration’s handling of the issue. He argued that the influx of illegal immigrants is bringing “crime and violence to our backyards” and blamed Kamala Harris for welcoming “a much larger number of illegals” than the public realizes.
Musk, who moderated the conversation, endorsed Trump for the upcoming election, stating, “It is really essential that you win for the good of the country.” Trump, in turn, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Your endorsement means a lot to me.”
The interview provided Trump with a significant platform to address his supporters and push his agenda as he campaigns for the 2024 election. With the race heating up, this interaction on X further cements the former president’s influence in the political arena.
