Daltonganj, Dec 5: Following the abrupt illness of Dr R D Nagesh, the acting principal of the Medinirai medical college at Pokhraha in Daltonganj, Dr R K Ranjan has been appointed as the stop-gap principal.

One of the faculties of this medical college Dr Atul Prakash said “Dr Nagesh had a sudden onset of loss of sensation in the right side of his body. Taking leave, he rushed to Ranchi for his treatment. We hope he would be fit and fine soon.”

Dr Atul added that Dr R K Ranjan was given the charge of the medical college and is looking after it following the medical leave of Dr Nagesh.

When contacted, Dr R K Ranjan said, “It is a sheer coincidence that I am looking after the medical college following the sudden illness of its acting principal Dr Nagesh and I am also doing the work of the medical superintendent Dr Dilip Kumar Singh of the Medinirai medical college hospital in Daltonganj  who has also some health issues.”

He added that would do his best in both the capacity as far as possible.
