Hazaribag, March.9:A drunk youth opened six rounds of firing killing one on the spot and injuring another. The incident took place on Thursday evening at around 7 in Mukundgunj area under the Muffasil police station of the town. Local people gathered on the spot and chased the youth beating him black and blue before handing him to the police.
Sources said two youths on a bike reached there. Both were identified as Deepak Sao and Shatrughan Sao. Deepak alighted from the bike and opened firing all of a sudden. He fired six rounds killing one Prince Pandey on the spot. Another man named Dileep Rana playing carom sustained bullet injuries.
Dileep said all of a sudden a bullet hit his leg. “I didn’t understand as what had happened. Soon the local people gathered and beat Deepak. Shatrughan escaped from there. Maternal grandfather of Prince named Mithilesh Pandey said what happened is beyond their expectation. Prince was living with us since his childhood and atpresent he was working as a heavy vehicle driver in a company. Police officials refused to comment on this incident. Yesterday also, a youth was shot at inside government bus stand campus.
