Jamshedpur, Oct 28: The weather office has some good news for Chhath vratis. Weather won’t play spoilsport during the four-day Chhath festival which began today with ‘Nahaye Khaye‘.

IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre predicted clear sky and dry weather over Jharkhand on Friday and in the next 72 hours.

“Weather would be mainly clear over Jharkhand in the next few days. We did not find any adverse weather system for the next 72 -hours in today’s satellite pictures and chart analysis,” said a duty officer at IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre.

The clear sky and dry weather resulted in a drop in minimum temperature. The minimum temperature dropped to as low as 13 degree Celsius in Khunti while Daltonganj and its adjoining areas for the last two days recorded around 15 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Ranchi and its adjoining areas was hovering around 16-17 degree Celsius while the night reading recorded 18 degrees in Jamshedpur and several other parts of the Kolhan region.

Weathermen said no significant synoptic features prevailed over Jharkhand today.
