Dumka: Four children die due to drowning in pond

Dumka, Aug 13: Four children died due to drowning in a pond while taking a bath in Pathariya village of Saraiyahat police station area of the district. There are three girls and one boy among them. The age of all is around 10 years. The deceased children have been identified as Kundan Kumar, Rekha Kumari, Gyan Ganga Kumari and Nandani Kumari.

Here, the police reached the spot and with the help of the villagers took out the bodies of all the children from the water and sent them for postmortem.

According to the information, the children had gone to bathe in the pond in Patharia village on Sunday. During this, the four children went into deep water and all of them died due to drowning in the water. Notably, it is raining continuously in Dumka for the last few days as a result there was a lot of water in the pond. In such a situation, the children could not understand the depth of the water and went into deep water which led to this accident.
