East Singhbhum: Mosabani block circle officer dies of cardiac arrest

Jamshedpur, Jan 2: The circle officer (CO) of Mosabani block of East Singhbhum died of a cardiac arrest on Monday morning. The 42-year-old Ramanaresh Soni suffered pain in his chest at home in Mosabani this morning, leading the family members to take him to a Ghatsila-based medical hub. 

The doctors at the medical facility referred him to Tata Main Hospital immediately as his condition was very serious. The family members rushed him to Jamshedpur travelling a distance of 45 km, but as he was taken to the hospital, doctors on emergency duty declared him as brought dead.

The news of Soni’s death spread immediately in the administrative circle leading several senior officers in the district administration to rush to Tata Main Hospital. 

Imtyaz Ahmed, circle officer, potka block said Ramanaresh Soni did not have any medical history involving heart ailment as such. 

“As doctors at the Tata Main Hospital declared Ramanaresh as brought dead, this has turned into a police case. The police have referred the body to MGM medical college for conducting a postmortem,” said Ahmed while talking to lagatar24.com.

Sources in the bereaved family said that the CO suffered heart pain while he was preparing to go to his office by finishing his daily chores.
