Ramgarh, Feb 4: Central Committee of East Central Railway Employees Union organised a protest in front of all the Senior Section Engineers of East Central Railway, Railway Path Inspector’s office.
The protest was held on behalf of the Patratu branch in front of the Senior Section Engineer’s office regarding their demands.
At the end of the programme, a memorandum of problems and demands was given to the General Manager East Central Railway in the office.
The demands included in the memorandum are:
- No work without providing life saving equipment
- Not getting the upgrade work done without training and promotion
- Reviewing the number of tracks and trains
- Reduction in patrolling and kilometers by reviewing the increase in operation and speed
- Implementation of 08.00 hours work roster at gates
- Closing the deduction of CR, NH
- Repeal of black laws like ‘remove from service’ because it destroys and ruins not only the lives of the employees but also the lives of their dependent families (wife, children, and old parents).
- Under equality, the personnel of the engineering department should also be included in LDCE
- To give the benefit of bunching in all the divisions from 2012 and pay its arrears
- Rs. 50 lakh insurance to railway workers of all departments including engineering
- Restoration of old pension
- Stop privatization of all public sector undertakings including railways
The programme was presided over by Mrityunjay Kumar (Secretary-General) and conducted by Girjesh Kumar (Vice President).
Ritesh Kumar, Roshan Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, Krishna Kumar Sharma, Ganesh Kumar and others participated.
