Ranchi, May 6: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recommended the Jharkhand government to lodge FIR against Circle Inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad, from whose residence in Bariatu huge number of official land records, 17 registers and other files were recovered during raids on April 24.

Besides, the ED has also asked the government to book Afsar Ali, who is a RIMS employee and five land brokers, whom, the agency arrested after the raids. They included Saddam Hussain, Imtiaz Ahmed, Talha Khan alias Sanni, Pradeep Bagchi, and Faiyaz Khan.

ED sources said that the information regarding the criminal activities of the two public servants- Bhanu Pratap Prasad and Afsar Ali-have been shared with the State government under the guidelines of the Supreme Court.

The State government is expected to book them under the Prevention of Corruption Act, sources added.   They are all part of the multi-crore land scam which hit the Jharkhand capital when Chhavi Ranjan was deputy commissioner of Ranchi.
