Ranchi, May 24: The Enforcement Directorate detained businessman Vishal Choudhary following raids at his office premises in Ranchi on Tuesday.
The raid started around 6.40 am and continued till 7.30 pm. After the raids were over the ED officials took him to the ED office for questioning. A team of doctors from Sadar hospital arrived at ED for his medical check-up.
But this is not confirmed whether he was taken to the ED office for questioning or would be arrested.
Vishal is suspected to have parked the ill-gotten money of several bureaucrats and politicians in several companies. Sources aware of the probe said that the ED wants to verify several transactions mid to several companies and individuals which were found in his possession. Some of the companies are doubted as shell companies. The enforcement directorate wants to confirm the money trail.
Other than Vishal, the ED raided the premises of real estate developer Nishit Keshri.
