Ranchi, Nov 2: As the Hemant Soren government is again sinking into a crisis following a notice served to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the illegal stone mining case, the state government has called a special session of the assembly on November 11.

This is the second such special assembly session the government has called. The last one was called on September 5 when it was widely whispered that Governor Ramesh Bais will disqualify him as a member of the assembly for possessing a mining lease as a chief minister. That time the assembly had passed the local residence policy and fixed 1932 as the cutoff date.

As per the press communiqué of the government, the cabinet meeting will take place on November 10 and the special session will take place on November 11.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will participate in the special session of the Legislative Assembly on November 11. “It will be the effort of the government to increase the reservation in the vacancies of posts and services in Jharkhand and pass the local residence bill during the special session based on the survey Khatians of 1932 or earlier,” the government stated.

Hemant Soren unlikely to appear for questioning

As per the summon, Chief Minister Hemant Soren is supposed to appear before the agency on Thursday. But it has now officially been declared that the Chief Minister has official engagements till November 15. Hence, he is unlikely to turn up before the ED.

Today the Chief Minister was in Sahibganj district to attend an official programme.

On November 3, he will be attending the tribal dance festival organized in Raipur. From November 4th to 7th, he participated in Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme organized at Palamu, Ramgarh and Jamshedpur.

On November 8, he will attend the International Sarna Mahasammelan organized at Luguburu Ghantabari in Bokaro. On November 9, he laid the foundation stone of Masalia Irrigation Project in Dumka during the Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme to be held in Pakur.

He will be busy with the cabinet meeting and assembly session on November 10th and 11th.

On November 12th he will be in Seraikela Kharsawan to attend Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar. He will review the state foundation day celebrations on November 14th. He will attend the state foundation programme on November 15th.
